About

I develop machine learning applications to solve concrete problems. I currently work at the Anima AI Lab at Caltech as a Schmidt fellow in software engineering. In the past, I’ve worked on computer vision and language modeling problems at startups like Granica, Groundlight AI, and Nanotronics Imaging.

I’ve previously been fascinated with questions around uncertainty estimation, model calibration and model robustness. Lately, I’ve been more excited to use existing but new technologies to build practical products that align with my personal values. I’m currently working with the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture to develop a prototype system that summarizes long environmental impact statements using new language modeling techniques.
